Are you a struggling artist, journalist, or person with a conscience? Come broke! Are you rich? Come guilty! Either way, this screening was made for you.
Four months ago, two people with a camera and no budget started making Great Job News — a half-hour news-comedy show that plays like The Daily Show and The Office had a baby. Biting news-desk segments, cut with the chaos of the newsroom that barely survives making them.
It's gone viral more times than anyone expected, on a single rule: correspondents Nat & Alex tell you what's happening, whether you like it or not.
Now they're launching the Summer Special — and turning the cameras on the one thing every indie show needs and never has: money. In "Cannes You Gimme Some Money?", Nat and Alex hunt down actual rich people and try to pry actual funding out of them using the only leverage a couple of broke serfs have left — wit, a camera, and a total absence of shame.
This is the launch. The special that will air before season 1 begins. Come see it before everyone else is asking you if you've seen it yet.
