We’re heading out with Trail Magazine and the Mountains for the Mind team for another one of our free outdoor events. Join our professional outdoor instructors and support team for a free wellbeing walk into the Lancashire countryside. This scenic walk covers vast expanses of moorland that spread across the northern upland region. The moorlands serve as significant carbon sinks, much larger than the woodlands of the UK. They offer a sense of emptiness and untamed wilderness that is often hard to find in our overcrowded island.
Starting in the charming hamlet of White Coppice in Lancashire, this walk takes you through a series of paths that lead across the rugged moors of Anglezarke. Along the way, you'll come across ruined farmsteads, babbling brooks, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking scenery. It is a delightful walk that is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who experiences it.
Expected Terrain – The walk will be mostly on paths but with some peat moor and a short section of quiet road.
Event Distance - Approx 13 km / approx. 300m ascent
Approx Activity Duration - 4 hours
Tickets for this event are 100% FREE for adults - just click the ticket link or head to BlackdogOutdoors.co.uk
