Nanny Assis is an outstanding, award-winning Brazilian-American singer, percussionist, composer, producer, and guitarist based in New York City. Maggie sings sultry vocals taking influence from Ella Fitzgerald, Astrud Gilberto, and Ivan Lins. They join forces alongside talented locals Jimmy Rainey (sax), Mike Story (bass) and Tom Rainey (piano) to present a lunchtime filled with bossa nova and soft Brazilian beats. Nanny is sought after on the international stage and has performed with Paul Simon, Kenny Baron, John Patitucci to name but a few. Both Nanny and Maggie have recently produced albums to share.
