Great Fen Little Bugs - Spring Term

Calling all mini-wildlife explorers...Little Bugs is here! Come and join us for a fun morning of exploration and discovery here on the wonderful nature reserve at the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre, Ramsey Heights.

This group is for pre-school children and encourages outdoor play and discovery. As it's the school holidays, bring older siblings too! The aim is to build confidence of being in the outdoors for both children and their guardians and to connect with your local nature reserve. Enjoy crafts, story time and play in outdoors in this lovely location.

Proposed schedule (subject to change)

• 17th April - Swifts, Swallows and Martins. Learn to tell the difference between these high flyers and try to make a mud nest cup.
• 24th April - Earth Day. It's Planet vs plastic. What can we do to help clean up our world?!
• 1st May - Spring Flowers. Will we find a rainbow of flower colours?
• 8th May - David Attenborough's Birthday! Make seedbombs and count the flowers.
• 15th May - National Vegetarian Week. Plant winter veg and make veggie snacks.
• 22nd May - World Bee Day. Learn all about the different bees we share our world with and how to help them.

Activities may vary and try to be outside so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We will serve a drink and fruit snack but please feel free to bring your own or a packed lunch to enjoy after your session.

Thanks to generous funding from the Hospital Charity Shop in Ramsey, we are able to continue offering the reduced price of just £2/3 per child.

A photographer may be present at the event and taking pictures for Wildlife Trust BCN use so please let us know if you'd rather not be included. Children will have an adult asked to complete a media consent form.
