We are in the initial planing stages for the Great BIG Electric Trail: England | Wales | Ireland | Northern Ireland | Scotland | Europe (postponed until 2027), which please note, will overall be a not-for-profit event.
Dates & times as such will be subject to change in order to fit in with the London to Brighton Electric Vehicle Rally, the GreenFleet EV Rallies (hopefully, fingers crossed) & of course the next destination for EV Rally Club - Organisers of the London to Amsterdam EV Rally 2025!!
It’s going to be an epic challenge, and we reckon with all the combined EV community support from the EV Rallies, EV industry, EV podcasters, our Local, National & make/model EV Clubs + the EV Groups Nexus, and great sponsors, we know it can be accomplished and made into an affordable event for all.
All of our Local, National, and Model/Make EV Cubs will be able to participate in as small or large of a way as they can or would like to! Every EVA, in every country we visit will be included in the events and we will help to promote membership in those EVAs.
What on earth are we trying to accomplish on this massive EV Road Trip?
Well not only are we aiming to create an event that brings together all the amazing EV events and organisers from both the commercial and non-profit events, including all of the EV Rallies here in the UK, as well as Europe, but we want to make sure that the everyday EV Driver feels as welcome, and this event is affordable for any who want to join in.
There will be segments all across every country, so those who can't join for a long EV Road Trip & family friendly holiday, will be able to join for as long as a short of a time as they would like & are able.
One of the things our team noticed while representing the EV Groups Nexus on the amazing London to Amsterdam EV Rally 2025 was simply that there just wasn't enough time to see a lot of sights on the Rally. Totally understand that many folks cannot take time off for an event that is longer than 2-5 days maximum. So we had a chat with Tom & John and some others on the Rally and came up with the idea that why not create another event to tie in with the Rally, but make it a family friendly holiday as well?
So that's what we are going to do! We will stop at not only the seaside every chance we get, but also places like Thorpe Park, Zoos, Safari Parks, National Trust & RHS Sites, we will have camping + hotel discounts, and we will co-ordinate not only family friendly activities to keep young families entertained along the way, but also for the adults that aren't interested in those - we will have adult activities planned as well such as sight seeing, wine tasting, pub crawls across scenic and landmark areas and so on.
We as organisers are really open to hearing your ideas, so please, if you have one - pop it our way via e-mail to [email protected] and we promise to discuss it and reply to your e-mail.
Stay tuned for more details and polls coming soon asking YOU for the best EV venues, local attractions, photo spots, day trips, family friendly places to go, must see attractions, the best beaches to visit, great EV industry businesses to ask to host a venue, and more along the way!
Oh and if we've invited you as a Co-Host - please do accept & "Like" our page as your Fb Page. We will be including you in our event and would love to have you share our event and our cause. What is our cause overall - to highlight the reliability, durability, and ability of BEVs to travel incredible distances across all countries plus to encourage, support and help all EV Clubs & especially the Electric Vehicle Associations in every country in the UK, Ireland & Europe to get the recognition they deserve for their efforts in supporting and improving EV Drivers lives, often behind the scenes.
