Gravestone Cleaning Class

Join us for a morning of cleaning our historic stones here at Union Cemetery. Our volunteers will give a tutorial of how to properly clean stones, which stones to avoid, and what tools you'll need. After the demonstration you'll be able to clean some stones on your own!

For this class all supplies are provided. Simply bring yourself and we recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

We do use a chemical called D2 to clean the stones. This is a nontoxic and environmentally safe chemical, but it does have a scent. If you are sensitive to chemicals this class may not be the best fit.
