About this Event
Join Natasha Rudenko—photographer and teacher at UCLA Extension and the New York Film Academy, CEO of Post Angeles, and Secretary of the Ukrainian Culture Center—for a discussion on the vital role of grassroots organizations and nonprofits in providing services to diasporic communities in cities without a consulate. Rudenko will share stories and photographs from her recent trip to Eastern Ukraine, where she visited villages directly impacted by the war. The evening will conclude with a discussion on Ukraine, Russia, and the nonprofit sector—exploring how grassroots organizations support communities and fill critical gaps in assistance.
Guests will also enjoy traditional varenyky (Ukrainian dumplings) and compote, a refreshing berry drink.
