Grass Roots starring Dhiraj Kainth Quartet (Live Jazz)

Grass Roots is a monthly live music event which is fully dedicated to supporting young and emerging London-based jazz artists. It takes place on the first Thursday of the month.

For the month of August, Grass Roots cordially invites you to yet another pulsating performance at Peckham's very own CLF Art Lounge Pop Up.

Treat yourself, turn up and take a punt on a budding band bringing together originals and jazz standards to conjure up a curious, yet captivating sound. Fronted by guitarist Dhiraj Kainth, this fantastic four-piece features fresh-faced graduates from the famed Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Career highlights so far include an unforgettable appearance at the Barbican Centre Foyer in March 2025, warming up for Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra. The quartet has also recorded and released a track written and composed by Dhiraj named ‘Emerge’.

You'll find the venue inside Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (or Mountview for short) on the ground floor and next to the main entrance. It is also behind Peckham Library and a 10-minute walk from Peckham Rye station.

Doors open at 8pm and the live music starts at 9pm.
