Grant Writing Lab – Building Your Master Grant Template

About this Event

This interactive working session is designed for participants who are ready to move from learning to doing. Participants will begin developing a customized “master grant template” that can be adapted for multiple funding opportunities, saving time and strengthening consistency across applications. This is our second grant writing session led by Amanda Aliperta, the Founder and Principal of Momentum Nonprofit Strategies.

Guided by structured prompts and examples, participants will work through key narrative sections commonly required in grant proposals, including:

• Organizational Overview
• Organizational History
• Project Overview
• Partnerships
• Evaluation
• Budgetary Considerations

The session will focus on helping participants translate their work into clear, funder-ready language while maintaining authenticity and alignment with their mission or creative practice. Participants will receive guidance on how to balance storytelling with data, ensure clarity and conciseness, and position their work as both eligible and competitive.

This is a hands-on session with time for individual work, reflection, and optional facilitator feedback. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with details about a project, program, or body of work they may seek funding for.

By the end of the session, participants will:

• Have draft language for key sections of a grant proposal
• Understand how to structure a reusable grant template
• Be better equipped to articulate their work in funder-aligned language
• Leave with tangible progress toward a grant-ready application

This session is best suited for those who have attended Session 1 or already have a basic understanding of grants, who have a project that is grant-ready, and are ready to actively begin writing. Limited spots available.
