Grant is the recipient of the Focus Foundation Award for Creative Excellence, which cited the “humor, compassion and wisdom of his songs,” and their “unflinching social insight and cultural acuity.”A self-described “tree-hugger that watches NASCAR,” Grant Peeples is known for his axe-sharp socio-political tunes, raucous humor and heart-gigging ballads.
Grant tours coast to coast, and is a regular performer at The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, the 30A Songwriters Festival, and The Florida, Folk Festival. In June he makes his debut at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival.
His shows are a roiling mix of funny stuff and not-funny stuff. He doesn’t do a lot of lo-ooove songs, but when he does, it’s liable to break your heart.
Liz Miller is a multi -genre award winning songwriter who has been compared to artists like Brandi Carlysle, Melissa Etheridge, and Diana Krall. She slips in and out of folk, rock, jazz, and singer-songwriter with native ease.
She makes up one half of the bi-coastal alt rock band- The Xconditionals (formerly Unconditionals- good back story) whose first recording was up for a San Diego Music Award! You can hear one of their tunes-Lie Like You Mean It- on the show Kevin Can F Himself on AMC.
After years of writing for other artists, Liz Miller has finally decided to perform her own songs. Liz has played the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville as well as Philadelphia area’s The Living Room, The Mermaid Inn, Cubizm Café, and the Royal Theater in Glenside
