Grant Park Music Festival brings free string quartet performances to cultural centers, parks, and community venues throughout Chicago, featuring the rising stars in our Project Inclusion Fellowship program. Bring a blanket and join us in your neighborhood park for a free, family-friendly and socially distanced outdoor concert with a little something for everyone to enjoy - from classical to tango, jazz/blues, and modern music! Project Inclusion is a unique artist development program for exceptionally talented early career singers and string players of color aimed at increasing diversity and guiding young professionals toward successful careers in music. www.gpmf.com In accordance with Be Safe Chicago Guidelines for Parks and Recreation Activities, participants in this activity will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times while participating. Patrons who are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to stay home and join us for an event when symptoms subside.

Each summer, the Grant Park Music Festival brings music to the neighborhoods through the popular 'Night Out in the Parks' series.
Part of a vast lineup of Chicago Park District events ranging from the performing arts to film to nature programs*, Night Out in the Parks will feature the Festival's Project Inclusion String fellows in weekly concerts celebrating music of BIPOC and women composers.
The concerts will travel to six Chicago parks including
* Harrison Park (July 15),
* Chicago Women’s Park (July 22),
* Indian Boundary Park (July 29),
* Eleanor Boathouse (August 5),
* Nichols Park(August 12),
* Lake Shore Park (August 19).
All neighborhood concerts take place on Thursdays at 6:30PM.
