Grandparent & Me (and parents too) HeART Exploration

We invite grandparents to join but it is OK to register for just you and your child(ren)!

Our first 2024 HeART playgroup will be an 8 week session. We are adding another new twist this time: Our mission is to unite generations by creating meaningful and consistent interactions with grandfriends from local senior living homes, therefore, not only will this session include once a month visits to see our grandfriends at Life Care Center but this time our group will be given a "HeART Gallery" on a wall at Life Care Center, where we can decorate with art we've created at home or in class!

When we meet, once a month, at Life Care Center of Tucson our focus will be on play and music while on other days we meet at The Drawing Studio our focus will be on sensory art exploration. Our amazing and talented HeART playgroup leader, Ms. Nancy, will be leading those in person activities at Life Care Center while Ms.Maria and Ms. Joanna will lead our Drawing Studio meetups.

Our meetups are still on Wednesday mornings. The schedule is as follows:

(TDS) The Drawing Studio - (LCCT) Life Care Center of Tucson

February 7 - (TDS) - 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - Make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on! HeART Exploration and zoom time with our grandfriends from Life Care Center via Zoom. This will also be a time to donate heARTwork.

February 14 - (LCCT) - 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - HeART in person playgroup. Focus will be play and music with senior friends at (LCCT). This will also be a time to donate heARTwork.

February 21 (TDS) - 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - Make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on! HeART Exploration and zoom time with our grandfriends from Life Care Center via Zoom. This will also be a time to donate heARTwork.

March 13 (LCCT) - 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - HeART in person playgroup at Life Care Center. Focus will be play and music with senior friends at (LCCT). This will also be a time to donate heARTwork.

COVID/ HEALTH POLICIES

We adhere to the latest information given by the CDC and we also adhere to policies at each senior living location. These could change at any moment.

We ask that families wash hands before interacting with our grandfriends. We provide masks and hand sanitizer as well.

* If you or a family member are feeling under the weather we greatly appreciate you staying home and getting some TLC while keeping our friends of all ages healthy. Thank you!
