On May 31, 2025, at MEMO MUSIC HALL, St Kilda, the Soul-R&B sensation that is Grand WaZoo combines with the unique talent of Jeff Duff, to bring you a splendid evening of big horn classics by Tower of Power, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Kush and more.
Featuring the legendary 6-piece WaZoo Horns, guest vocalist-entertainer Jeff Duff and soul men, Wylie Miller & Walter Saluni, you’re in for a rare musical treat, as the band plays outstanding arrangements, that will transport you back to the era of Soul and Rhythm & Blues songs + anthems.
Grand WaZoo band leader John & singer Jeff were original founding members of 70′s jazz-rock-fusion band, Kush, gigging, touring, performing at Sunbury, and recording the Snow-White album. Subsequently they’ve reunited occasionally, with Jeff performing alongside, Grand WaZoo – and this is one of those rare and special events.
You’ll hear iconic tunes like Soul Vaccination, What is Hip, Spinning Wheel, Lucretia McEvil, Diggin’ on James Brown, Soul with a Capital S, You Made Me So Very Happy, and others. Step back in time to the 1970s, when soul, glam rock and R+B music thrilled audiences across the globe – and who better to capture that epoch than the combined talents of singer extraordinaire, Jeff Duff, with Oz soul legends, Grand WaZoo.
