GRAND SLAM - special guest: Floods Of Spin

Back in the post-Lizzy days, guitarist Laurence Archer wrote and performed with Phil Lynott. Grand Slam was cut short in it’s prime, leaving a hole in the fabric of rock music. Laurence has nurtured a long-term plan to rebuild the Grand Slam machine, and here it is, blue printed and ready to race. This new band (Laurence along with compadres Mike Dyer –Tokyo, Benjy Reid – Praying Mantis, Debbie Bonham and Rocky Newton – Lionheart, McAuley Schenker Group), honours the traditions of rock and Laurence’s song writing dynasty, but also looks to the future – the classic tracks sit alongside a set of brand spanking new rock anthems that embody the same ethos of freedom, positivity and adrenalin that ran through Grand Slam in 1984.
With this pedigree, it is no surprise that this band is a live monster, ready and raring to ransack stages around the world.
Following the success of their critically acclaimed album Hit the Ground, Grand Slam will be performing tracks from the album alongside brand-new material from their forthcoming release. Don’t miss the chance to see them live at The Forum before they head out on tour with Magnum this autumn.
We are also pleased to introduce our special guests, Floods Of Spin. Drawing inspiration from both classic and modern rock heavyweights, Floods Of Spin are a hard rock trio that combine vintage rock power with lyrics firmly rooted in today’s world. Their debut single, Weapons Of Mass Distraction, released on 12 June 2026, has already received international airplay and has been featured on Kerrang! Radio Unleashed and BBC Introducing. The band are now looking forward to making their live debut at The Forum, where they will perform tracks from their forthcoming debut album, showcasing their signature blend of powerful riffs, driving rhythms, and thought-provoking songwriting.
