Loyola's academic division of natural and applied sciences invites you to the 2024 Grand Seminar, an exploration of quantum gravity and the fascinating intersections of art, mathematics, and science. An annual tradition, Grand Seminar is free and open to the public with the goal of engaging Loyola students and offering an enriching experience for the greater Loyola community. This year's lecture will be presented by Sylvester James “Jim” Gates, Jr., Ph.D., a renowned theoretical physicist and professor of physics from the University of Maryland and a member of the National Academy of Sciences. Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. in McGuire Hall or virtually for an insightful discussion.
