Farm Store & Classroom Grand Opening Celebration
Saturday, February 7, 5:00-7:00 PM $60 per person
Join us for an evening of gratitude and celebration as we officially open the doors to our new Farm Store and Classroom. This milestone represents more than just a new building—it's the culmination of community support, shared vision, and a commitment to connecting people with the land, animals, and craft of farmstead cheesemaking.
This relaxed, open-house style celebration invites you to explore the new space at your own pace. Arrive anytime during the evening and stay as long as you wish. Whether you're a longtime supporter or discovering Prairie Fruits Farm for the first time, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to experience what we've built together and envision what's ahead.
What the Evening Includes
Culinary Experience: Enjoy cheese and charcuterie boards featuring our award-winning farmstead cheeses, plated appetizers prepared by our culinary team, assorted desserts, and farm-fresh gelato.
Live Music: Acoustic performances creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the evening.
Guided Tours: Staff-led tours of the new Farm Store and Classroom space, with insights into the design, purpose, and programming planned for 2026.
Meet the Herd: Opportunities to visit with our goats and capture memories at our photo booth.
Cheese Sampling Station: Taste a selection of our seasonal cheeses with guidance from our creamery team.
Education Preview: Learn about upcoming workshops, classes, and events planned for the new classroom space.
Beverages: Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks; cash bar available for wine, beer, and cocktails.
Gratitude Remarks: Brief welcome and thank you from farm owners Lauren and Jeffrey Brokish.
Take-Home Gift: Each guest receives a curated goodie bag as a token of appreciation.
Why This Matters
This new space was made possible through community support, including our successful Kickstarter campaign, a $200,000 Illinois Tourism Grant, and partnership with Compeer Financial. Proceeds from this celebration directly support the launch of our 2026 farm education programming, ensuring this space serves as a vibrant hub for learning, gathering, and connection.
