En humoristisk og hæsblæsende forestilling om utopier og jagten på frihed.
GRAND DANOIS en en anarkistisk cirkusforestilling, der gennem cirkusekvilibrisme, musik og fandenivoldsk humor, sætter spørgsmålstegn ved vores frihedsbegreber, og jagt på materiel rigdom.
Vi møder et forhutlet og lettere dysfunktionelt cirkuskompagni, der lever på landevejene i jagtern på friheden. Et liv i duften af savsmuld og popcorn, og hvor hjem er dér, hvor den gamle, slidte cirkusvogn, Lotte, rulles i grøften for natten.
Drømmen er et vaskeægte cirkustelt. Ligesom i det store udland! At genrejse cirkus’ storhed og rejse verden rundt til lyden af bifald og begejstring. Men måske er rejsen lige så vigtig som målet? Og hvor høj er prisen for frihed og fællesskab?

A humorous and high-energy performance about utopias and the pursuit of freedom.
GRAND DANOIS is an anarchistic circus performance that, through circus acrobatics, music, and devil-may-care humor, questions our concepts of freedom and our pursuit of material wealth.
We meet a ragtag and slightly dysfunctional circus troupe living on the road in their quest for freedom. A life surrounded by the scent of sawdust and popcorn, where home is wherever the old, battered circus wagon, Lotte, is parked by the roadside for the night.
Their dream is to own a genuine circus tent, just like in the grand circuses abroad! To revive the glory of the circus and travel the world to the sound of applause and admiration. But perhaps the journey is just as important as the destination? And what is the true cost of freedom and community?
