We are blessed to have Dr. Cahill Smith join in the RAMTA community this year. Cahill will prepare materials and discussion for pre-submitted questions on piano repertoire, teaching, literature, technique, etc, for our September meeting. Cahill is a concert artist and teacher currently serving as Associate Professor of Piano and Keyboard Studies Coordinator at Utah State University, where he teaches applied piano and supportive lecture courses to piano majors. His primary performance and research interests include Russian romantic piano music, chamber music for piano and strings, teaching tone and technique, and music analysis for performers. Cahill also serves as faculty advisor to the USU Youth Conservatory, a lab school for piano teachers which offers affordable piano lessons and group classes to around 150 pre-college students in northern Utah. Cahill is a Yamaha Artist on the Classical Piano roster, and was recently honored as an MTNA Foundation Fellow. Visit https://www.cahillsmith.com/ for more information.
