• Overview - Why We’re Here: Co-ops and condos across NYC are reeling from the cost of compliance and its impact on operations -- Our concerns have been discounted despite the investment we have made in the city as tax-paying homeowners. Change will only happen if we join together.
• Goals: Promoting legislative priorities geared to ensure the viability and affordability of our homes and our future.
• Advocacy Resources: Obtain a list of tracked bills, talking points, guides for contacting your elected officials, sample testimony on bills and rules, and pointers for scheduling meetings with your elected officials.
• Network: Meet other local board members and shareholders/unit owners. Share information and benefit from concerted efforts.
• Be heard: Your voice is the catalyst for change. Elected officials must hear from co-op and condo constiuents to understand the severity of the issues we are facing and the potential solutions they can implement.
