Join us for a captivating morning at The Grand Cinema, the heart of South Sound's vibrant film scene and a beacon for independent and local cinema. As a nonprofit organization, The Grand Cinema is dedicated to showcasing diverse cinematic experiences while supporting our local community.

Immerse yourself in the historic ambiance of The Grand Cinema as you check in for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. Fuel up with a delightful spread of locally roasted coffee and freshly baked pastries from Corina Bakery, fostering connections with fellow cinema enthusiasts and business people during our networking session from 10:00 to 10:25.

At 10:30, we'll kick off our agenda with warm introductions, setting the stage for an enriching journey through The Grand Cinema and the rest of The Merlino Arts Center. learn about who Tacoma Rising is as well as The Grand Cinema's journey to savin ghte Merlino Arts Center from being sold.

10:45 AM | Tour Begins

As we begin our tour, we will start with a viewing of the winners of this years 253 Short Film Competition to experience the cinematic viewing in these historic theaters.

Venturing beyond the silver screen, our tour will lead you through the rest of our property, including glimpses into the Tacoma City Ballet, Art Studio Spaces, and even a Jujitsu Studio, highlighting the commitment to fostering diverse artistic endeavors within our community.

11:50 AM | Wrap Up

As the tour draws to a close at 12:00pm, we'll gather for a final wrap-up session, inviting your questions and reflections during a dedicated Q&A session.

There is also street parking available around the building but is limited to 90 minutes.
