La Route des Grandes Alps: This mountain highway weaves its way south for 684 kilometres from the shores of Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Coast. The route leads over 16 alpine passes, 6 of which are over 2000m high. It starts in the region of the Haute Savoie and travels the mountains of Chablais, Vanoise, Queyras, Ubaye and Mercantour crossing into the Alpes Maritimes. La Route finally descends to the coast, the splendors of the Cote d'Azur, and the start of yet another legendary motorcycle route.Route Napoleon: First opened in 1932 and follows the route taken by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1815 on his march from Golfe-Juan to Grenoble. Route Napoleon takes you on a ride through French history, but it also leads you through a constantly varying landscape of limestone crags, hidden canyons and mighty mountain ranges.
