About this Event
Grains of Sand Film Screening with Filmmaker Sarah Gross
Discover the positive "coming-of-age" story about two women in their 80s. Filmed over eight years, the documentary accompanies the filmmaker's mother and mother-in-law, artists and close friends, as the enter their ninth decade.
Join us in person for an exclusive screening of Grains of Sand, followed by an intimate chat with the amazing filmmaker Sarah Gross. Don't miss this chance to dive into the story and hear firsthand about the creative process behind the film.
Building on the film, you will have a chance to experiment creatively in a tactile, visual realm through a Collage Workshop led by Sarah Gross and Suzanne Reich, museum and arts educator at the SF Museum of Modern Art and Ruth's Table.
Grab your friends and come enjoy a laid-back evening celebrating what it means to grow old and what matters most as we do!
