BonVILLE, real name Vendela Löfbom, is a singer, songwriter and producer who grew up in the south of Sweden. Her musical style blends influences from alternative pop, with flavours from folk and alt-rock genres. The mood is eerie and ambiguous, yet vulnerable and heartfelt. Expect acoustic fragility, moody songs with ethereal vocals and sharp, poetic lyrics. Her music sits in the alternative, electro-organic, art-pop scene with acts like Joanne Robertson, Saya Gray, and Lykke Li. Whether accompanied or solo, her live performances are dynamic and hypnotic, with a touch of humour and theatrics. bonVILLE’s first short concept-album ‘STRIP’, was released earlier this year, a 17-minute listen featuring five songs and six trippy, spoken interludes exploring different layers of identity.
