GRAILS is a band most easily described as "restless." They've stubbornly pushed against the staid clichés of instrumental music and toward new sonic frontiers, creating heavily textured albums stacked with epic song hooks and exotic instrumentation.
Their new album, 2025's Miracle Music, arrives a mere two years after the lauded Anches En Maat and proves to be their most personal and emotionally resonant album to date.
The new work sees the band—including co-founders Emil Amos (Om, Holy Sons) and Alex Hall—balancing the boundary-pushing claustrophobia of early Industrial music with the airy melodies of Classical compositions. Recorded in Portland at the Type Foundry studio, Miracle Music unveils an exquisite new horizon for Grails.
In a catalog defined by mercurial departures, this is Grails’ most sentimental and high-minded trip yet.
