Parents, Students, Staff, and Fellow Community Members:As graduation 2024 is just around the corner, we want to update our students and families on our ceremony this year. SHS will have graduation at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on May 24, 2024 beginning at 1:00pm, as planned. Rehearsal for students will take place 8:00am-10:00am prior to the ceremony at 1:00pm. Students will need to return to the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center by 12:00PM. KCS is in contract with the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center to hold all KCS high school graduations at this venue. Graduation dates are scheduled years in advance, by KCS in contract with The Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. The Municipal Auditorium is currently an unavailable venue. As a result of an event scheduled to be held at The Municipal Auditorium being rescheduled for the same night as our graduation, our ceremony will be taking place in The South Hall of The Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
With that said, The South Hall is extremely large and will absolutely accommodate all graduates and all guests. This puts no limitations whatsoever on the number of guests who can attend our 2024 commencement. The ceremony will demonstrate all of our same traditions, it will have all of the same video and media support, all of the required security, and be even more handicap accessible and convenient to all graduates and all guests. Although this change was unexpected and beyond our control, we believe The Annual Commencement Ceremony for The Sissonville High School Class of 2024 will be as outstanding as ever!
