Grace Church Greer Building Tour

Grace Church Greer is a winner of the 2023 AIAG Design Award for Adaptive Reuse as well as the 2023 Crew Development Impact Award. LS3P’s design tells the story of the former life of this building as a turn of the century Ford automobile dealership while at the same time partnering with the city of Greer to create a public space for connection to an active downtown community. Reimagining the building for use as a church led to a design that preserved historic elements as well as using the inspiration of automotive aesthetic for new design elements. In the middle of the two buildings that make up the church campus, an inviting public courtyard serves as an active connector between the pedestrian downtown to a new hotel and public parking garage. This courtyard was designed for public use in partnership with the city of Greer to be used as an event space for both the congregation and the community.
