GPHC's PC's for People Recycling Event & Green Sheen Paint Pickup

Many know that the Greater Park Hill Home Tour and Street Festival will be the last Sunday in September, but did you know that since 2017 GPHC has worked with PC's for the People to sponsor an annual recycling event? This year, GPHC's recycling will be the weekend before the Street Fair AND we welcome Green Sheen as our paint recycling sponsor.

Mark your calendars now! Sunday, Sept. 22nd , Noon to 4 PM to recycle your IT-related electronics... and paint!

GPHC is partnering with our own Park Hill E-cyclers PC’s For People as well as GPHC member Park United Methodist Church. PHUMC's Glencoe Street Parking Lot at 5209 Montview Blvd is where you can drop off all functioning and non-functioning IT-related electronics from Noon to 4 pm on the 22nd.

There is no cost for picking up or dropping off all functioning and non-functioning IT-related electronics which includes computers and accessories, home entertainment equipment, service and data centers, mobile devices, and office items. The only things THEY WILL NOT TAKE are CRT TVs, household appliances, light bulbs, and fixtures.

You are also welcome to drop off aluminum cans (crushed preferably). These will be taken to a recycler for cash. Proceeds will be used to fund future green initiatives in Park Hill.

You will have the chance to sign up for volunteering for future collaborations that GPHC will have with the community over the next year.

In addition, on Sunday, September 22, Green Sheen will be driving around Park Hill to pick up your unused - opened and unopened paint cans (5 gallons or less) at no charge to you! 100% FREE. To schedule a residential pick-up, call Green Sheen at 720-854-8722

They will take all 5-gallon or less containers of latex paint, oil paint, stains, shellacs, lacquers, sealers, varnishes, urethanes, and textured coatings. They WILL NOT TAKE aerosol paint, paint thinner, solvents, cleaning agents, drywall mud, roof tar, and hazardous waste.

We ask that you register 48 hours in advance for both of these opportunities being sponsored by Park Hill UMC Green Team, and GPHC Sustainability and Volunteers Committees. Please note that you are not required to donate to support various Park Hill sustainability and environmental justice initiatives, but it is greatly appreciated.
