Governance, Structure, and Authority Intensive

CMP Intensives are two-day workshops that equip leaders with dynamic training that is applicable for their current ministry needs. Intensives offer focused content on ministry topics or areas of development. Specifically looking at leadership development, our 2021-2022 intensives will empower you to grow in your ministry skills and leadership callings. Intensives will be held in person this year, and registration is required. There are limited seats available, so claim your spot soon!

The Leadership Intensives are a new way for present and emerging leaders to gain critical skills for the path ahead. Four times a year we bring in experts to teach, train, and equip you for the all-important task of leading your church, ministry, or non-profit. All students in the CMP Leadership track gain automatic access to these intensives. Everyone else is welcome to register for as many Leadership intensive as you want. Bring other leaders from your church or ministry with you!

If you scan the headlines on any given week, far too often you’ll read a story about a church in scandal. Authoritarian leaders. Questionable finances. Sexual misconduct. Child abuse.

What can you do to create a safe space for people to encounter God and fulfill his mission? Learn from Lane Paulsen, the longtime staff counsel for Times Square Church and now lawyer for Nelson, Madden, and Black. She will unpack common mistakes churches make and help you lead your people to a much healthier place.

But this is no dry lecture on legalese. Lane’s love for Jesus and commitment to kingdom growth comes out in everything she does. She will inspire you to do the hard work of protecting Christ’s flock while reaching out to those who do not yet know him.

If you are a CMP Leadership Track student, no need to fill out an Eventbrite registration. You are automatically registered for this intensive, and it's free to you! However, if there are other leaders from your church/ministry who want to attend with you, they need to register and pay.
