Gourmet Whisky Tasting

We've done whisky and cheese, whisky and chocolate, whisky and beer and run degustation dinners matching Japanese whiskies and food and Australian whiskies with Argentinean cuisine.

This time it's more akin to a mini-degustation with four top quality Scotch Single Malts matched to four European-inspired canapés.The four malt whiskies have been selected and curated by Craig Daniels, Chairperson of the Malt Whisky Society of Australia, paired with four canapés created by French-trained chef, Scott Bircumshaw, and crafted using products from his Birky’s Fine Foods Gourmet range.

The format is very similar to our previous Boilermaker Night and we'll serve all four whiskies and the four canapés at the same time. We'll provide a matrix for you to record your comments about which pairings work best, and we'll record your scores for a vote on the overall winning pairing. We'll also provide tasting notes for the four whiskies and a list of ingredients for the four canapés if you want to replicate any of the pairings at home.
