Elevate your entertaining skills at home with high end ideas and tricks from chef Miko Aspiras. Each participant will witness first-hand how Miko creates an elevated experience for all guests inspired by his experiences from his culinary competitions, hotels, fine dining experiences, and imagination. Aspiras will show attendees four recipes on the day, and everyone will receive tastings of each dish prepared, matched with a selection of wines from our Wine Store, and receive copies of all recipes:
- Elevated cheese and charcuterie board (includes cheese spreads, jams, croutons, crostini, flavoured butters, meat slice, and cheese presentation)
- Cheese churro (savoury vs sweet)
- Valrhona chocolate fondant with blue cheese and walnuts (homestyle)
- Chocolate bonbon truffles
Students will get the chance to create their own version through some hands-on elements throughout the class. It will surely impress you!
ABOUT: Michael ‘Miko’ Aspiras is a creative, dynamic, hardworking Executive Pastry Chef with over seventeen years’ experience in the Food and Beverage industry. In the Philippines he has worked in the pastry kitchens of 3 major hotels and held the line for the pastry sections of some of the most in-demand casual dining, fast casual, and fine dining restaurants – including the running and management of 5 different dessert-driven concepts with 9 branches spread across Manila.
Miko has also worked for and lead the pastry team of one of the biggest Hotels in Sydney catering to over 500 people a day. Miko loves communicating his passion to his customers through his creations – he gets instant satisfaction when his customers have a smile on their faces. Aspiras is passionate about competing – he has competed local and abroad in the biggest pastry competitions such as Valrhona Chocolate Chef Competition Asia Pacific, where he was a semi-finalist. Teaching and learning together is Michael’s motto in life.
This class is for participants over the age of 18+ years.
Participants will receive 10% off all full retail purchases on the day of the event. Please note does not include clearance items.
