Join Maxie Peña for a hands-on, in-person workshop at Kensington Art Supply, SE Calgary and discover the bold, structured beauty of Gothic Textura.
In this one-day class, your calligraphy journey will begin with learning how to use the broad-edge tool Pilot Parallel Pen. We'll go over the fundamental strokes and see how they work together to construct our letters.
Maxie's methodical and detailed approach will guide you through each step, helping you understand not just how to form the letters, but what to look for as you practice.
This workshop is designed for beginners with no experience using a broad-edge pen. All supplies are included! You'll get to take home your own Pilot Parallel Pen, plus worksheets for you to continue your practice at home.
The workshop will be held inside one of the studios at Kensington Art Supply, SE Calgary, located near Deerfoot Meadows.
