The Midwest MidBEST! CRANKIE FEST! presents The GOSPEL HOUR CRANKIE MATINEE! on SUNDAY, JUNE 28 at 2pm at The Shoe Tree Listening Room at Arrow Creative Reuse, 616 West Tampa Street, Springfield, Mo.
Doors open at 1:30pm for this unique, one of a kind event.

Crankie Artists Debbie Dodds Gilley, and Sharon Kahmann, along with some of their Sunday school friends will share their biblically inspired crankies with live musical accompaniment from CREEK’s ARISIN’ Band including Larry and Mary Mayfield, Brian Grimm, and Barry Smith
“What’s a Crankie?” you may ask? A Crankie is a moving panoramic storytelling machine. Artistic scenes are created on a scroll of material, loaded into a box where the story is cranked along. Crankies may include puppets, live music, and elaborate theatrical elements.
