2ND CHANCE

2nd Chance, born Ewart Blake in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica, is an international gospel reggae artist known for blending the vibrant rhythms of Caribbean music with powerful messages of faith, hope, and redemption.

Growing up in Jamaica’s rich musical culture, 2nd Chance developed a passion for music early in life. His ministry through music began in the mid-1990s, when he started recording and performing gospel reggae during the genre’s early growth. In 1998, he released his first album, “Mission Fi God,” with the group Blake Band, helping establish his presence in the Caribbean gospel music scene.

Throughout his journey, he has performed with groups including Children of Light, Zamar, and Blake Band before fully stepping into his solo ministry as 2nd Chance—a name that reflects his personal testimony of faith, transformation, and redemption.

Now based in South Florida, 2nd Chance has released more than ten albums, delivering uplifting music that bridges reggae, dancehall, and contemporary gospel. His sound draws inspiration from reggae legends and gospel greats such as Beres Hammond, Luciano, Papa San, and Kirk Franklin.

His hit song “May Pen Medley” reached #1 on Vision Gospel Radio in South Florida and earned him the Hopeton Lewis Award for Top Caribbean Gospel Song. He has also received nominations from the International Reggae and World Music Awards and the Marlin Awards.

Hailing from Portland, Jamaica, and raised partly in St. Elizabeth, Marcia developed a passion for performance early, drawing inspiration from Jamaican icons like Louise “Miss Lou” Bennett-Coverley and Mutabaruka.

Now based in South Florida, Marcia has captivated audiences with her thought-provoking poetry and dynamic stage presence. Her work explores social issues, identity, and Afrocentric themes, earning her the prestigious Mutabaruka Award for Best Poet/Spoken Word Entertainer at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).

In addition to poetry, Marcia is an accomplished actress and event promoter, producing shows that blend comedy, culture, and spoken word. He has starred in popular theatre productions like More Passa Passa, Bad Mind, and Watchman Parts 1 & 2, captivating audiences with his sharp wit and unforgettable characters.

Lemon has also headlined numerous comedy events, including the LIME Comedy Café series and the North Coast Comedy & Food Festival, bringing laughter and joy wherever he performs.
