The Gorkhaly Foundation Open Mic is back by popular demand!! Join us for a night of music and story-telling headlining CNN Super-Hero Pushpa Basnet and DMV local artists.
We are celebrating five years of partnership with ECDC and Pushpa on a College Scholarship and Job Placement program for young people in Nepal who fall into high risk of school drop-out with parental incarceration and its socio-economic consequences. WINGS: We Invest in Gifts of Scholarship is a joint initiative of the Gorkhaly Foundation with Pushpa Basnet's Early Childhood Development Center.
Come hear the stories of young professionals who have graduated the program and others who have just joined with huge ambitions and hopes.
The program provides all expenses for selected students to attend technical and vocational schools throughout Nepal. Our graduates are now mechanics, electricians, chefs, sanitation engineers... and mentoring the future graduates of the program.
