Earth Day is coming up soon so it must be time for our annual Gorham Cleans Up event!
Please sign-up using the Google Form below so we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone and make sure we get all areas covered.

This year, we're highlighting the Town of Gorham's commitment to improving water quality and reducing stormwater quantity via our Stormwater Management Plan by focusing on neighborhoods, parks, and common spaces were we can prevent trash from entering our vital streams and watersheds such as Tannery Brook. Any piece of trash that can be removed before it enters our waterways, roadside ditches, or catch basins is one less pollutant that can impact our community... Every bit helps!
So, along with our usual clean up in the Village and the Crosstown Trail, this year we're also going to clean up at the Tannery Brook Preserve, Shaw Park and the Little Falls Recreation Area.
Volunteers for the Village, Crosstown Trail and Tannery Brook will meet at the Municipal Center and volunteers for Shaw Park and Little Falls will meet at Shaw Park. All groups should be at their respective meeting spot by 8:30 am to sign in, enjoy a donut and some coffee, get supplies and attend a quick safety meeting before heading out.
VIPS will shuttle volunteers from the Municipal Center to Tannery Brook and the Crosstown Trail (and bring them back when done). They will also provide traffic safety for the Tannery Brook Road Crew that will pickup trash along Gray Road from Wentworth Drive to Libby Ave and back. Volunteers for Little Falls will drive over from Shaw Park after the safety meeting.
Food Pantry Donations
We're also asking volunteers to consider bringing a donation for the Gorham Food Pantry. They have a strong need for baby wipes and bags of apples & oranges as well as canned goods and other non-perishables. If you can bring a donation to the event, we'll get them to the food pantry. Thanks!
Please choose which group you want to join when signing up. If a group doesn't appear on the sign up form, it has reached the maximum number of people we can support for that group.
We will follow up with more information and a detailed map for each group via email as we get closer to the event day.
Thank you to Gorham VIPS & Public Safety, Gorham Public Works, Gorham Village Alliance, Gorham Recreation Department and Gorham SnoGoers for their support.
