We are starting our journey from Toowoomba to Goondiwindi today to take a guided tour of the working cotton farm, Alcheringa, and exploring the farming practices behind cotton production.
Learn about the planting, irrigation, and harvesting processes, and see cotton-picking machines in action. We also explore the town of Goondiwindi, where you’ll learn about the area's agricultural history and how cotton farming has shaped its development.
Before heading home, we have lunch at a local pub. On your way back, a visit to the Yelarbon Silos, a key part of the local grain storage and agricultural infrastructure. What a fun and informative day!
