This August, Goolugatup Sounds celebrates its 20th ***free*** concert showcasing Boorloo's adventurous musical underground!
Hear the live debut of leftfield five-piece PARCLO, refracting '90s-00's alt-rock influences like midwest emo and pop-punk through the uncanny lens of experimental composition and stylistic collage...
That's alongside the dizzying grooves and wild improv of legendary local duo BAD WHIPP, comprising Josiah Padmanabham (keys) and Alex Reid (drums, TR-808) - known to many through their other shared project Grievous Bodily Calm.
Both familiar faces on the Goolugatup Sounds scene, it's a thrill to welcome Alex and Josiah back to do their first standalone BAD WHIPP set for GS#20 - promising plenty of serpentine grooves, delightfully skittish basslines, cyborg club rhythms and - nomatter what - the thrill of two incredible, interlocking musical brains on a beautiful joyride.

ACCESS –
Physical access: Goolugatup gallery is wheelchair accessible via footpaths / low-incline ramps, and ACROD parking is available nearby. Main entry is 1.4m wide, and accessible toilet doors are 0.9m wide. Toilets are unisex. Performances will take place in the outdoor courtyard.
Audiovisuals: Lighting and sound levels are of moderate intensity. Dynamic projected visuals may be used, but no strobes or intense fast-flashing lights.
If you require an AUSLAN interpreter please contact us and we'll facilitate wherever possible. Goolugatup Heathcote does not currently have Hearing Loop facilities.
Transport: Goolugatup Heathcote is a cultural precinct comprising heritage buildings and a nature reserve, located on the shores of the Derbal Yerrigan in the suburb of Applecross, just south of the centre of Boorloo Perth, WA. It is a 10 minute drive from the CBD, and ample free parking is available onsite. The closest train station is Canning Bridge, and the closest bus route the 148.
