Bid farewell to a lost past with GOODBYE, DRAGON INN, a Taiwanese drama from arthouse favorite Tsai Ming-Liang presented in a stunning new DCP.On a dark, rainy night, a historic and regal Taipei cinema sees its final film: the 1967 martial arts feature Dragon Inn. As the film plays, the lives of the theater's various employees and patrons intersect: an elderly ticket woman searches for the projectionist to give him a bun, a Japanese tourist tries to seduce real-life Taiwanese actor Chen Chao-Jeng, and two ghostly actors arrive to mourn the passing of an era.
Called "the best film of the past 125 years" by Uncle Boonme Who Can Recall His Past Lives director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Goodbye, Dragon Inn also won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 60th Venice International Film Festival.
Presented in Mandarin and Taiwanese with English subtitles.
