About this Event
In Rita Chablani’s play Goodbye Calendar, a retired school teacher, Mr Rodrigues, lives a quiet, disciplined life, with occasional bouts of loneliness. When his former student, Sidharth, rents a room in his house, the young man’s presence brings warmth and energy into the teacher’s routine.
As Sidharth falls in love with Anjali, another of Rodrigues’ former students, the unfolding relationship forces Rodrigues to reflect on his own past, especially his failed marriage and the choices that shaped his life.
Through moments of humour, tenderness, and introspection, the play explores loneliness, companionship, and the courage to change – even late in life.
