Chapel Sessions Music presents Good Trouble
Good Trouble consist of Bonnie, Pete, Flo & Bennet from both bands :-After joining forces for a spontaneous set at Glastonbury Festival 2023, the two globe-trotting fusion groups will reconvene to bring their new collaboration project to the UK for Summer 2024. Live audiences can expect a high-energy fusion of rocking folk and world music that will draw upon the band’s cross-cultural backgrounds; demonstrate the virtuosic abilities of its members; and tell stories through music.
The two individual bands are described below but to fully appreciate the fantastic fusion which brings a special hybrid vigour to the performance you just have to come see and hear them!
The Trouble Notes are a progressive world folk trio. Known for their explosive energy and worldly melodies, the band was formed in 2013 by violinist Bennet Cerven and has since become renown in the international world folk scene. Their shows are packed full of surprises, known to feature international guest performers, adding to the energetic worldly sounds at the heart of their repertoire. They have toured extensively in Europe and North America. They have performed on Television in the USA, Europe, Japan and Brazil. They have played on many of Europe’s large festival stages and with major international acts like Jethro Tull, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and America.
Their second studio album, Liberty Awaits, was described by Earmilk Magazine as “a transcendent exploration and fusion of various folk styles, showcasing the rich tapestry of our diverse world.” BBC Radio’s Faye Hatcher said the band is “like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Their musical influences take you on a journey around the world. You can’t help clap very loudly, tap your feet or spontaneously jig along to their music! Meanwhile, Good Habits, have only recently arrived on the UK scene after being 'happily stranded' in New Zealand for the pandemic launched their full-time musical adventure. Upon their return they won the Purbeck Rising Award, were celebrated as ‘Captivating’ by Songlines Magazine and performed at notable festivals including Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival and Shrewsbury Folk Festival. Their award-winning, genre-fusion has received international critical acclaim and they are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most exciting new folk duos on the UK scene. What's the refund policy?
We are a not for profit series of music sessions so don't normally operate a refund policy, however if you have extenuating circumstances which mean you can't get to the Session then email us and we'll let you know if we can refund or give you a free ticket to another Session.
