Drawing upon interviews and archival research across both continents, Jones weaves a sweeping narrative of courage, solidarity, and resistance.

Forest Issac Jones is an award-winning historian, essayist, and nonfiction author specializing in the U.S. Black Civil Rights Movement and Irish history. With a doctorate from Virginia Tech and a master’s from Hollins University, Jones has earned honors from Writer’s Digest and other prestigious institutions. He lives in Salem, Virginia, and speaks frequently on historical intersections rarely explored in popular culture.

Evan F. Moore is a Chicago-based writer working at the intersection of sports, race, entertainment, and culture. An adjunct professor at DePaul University, he co-authored Game Misconduct: Hockey’s Toxic Culture and How to Fix It, and his work has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, Rolling Stone, The Defender, ESPN’s Andscape, and more. His expertise brings rich context and thoughtful questions to this conversation.
