About this Event
As winter's shorter days invite us to slow down, we’re extending that same invitation to you. In a world that seems to move faster by the day, it’s easy to overlook one of the most essential aspects of well-being: rest. Whether you're a rest superstar, still figuring it out, or just realizing how much you need it, this evening’s conversations will nourish you.
Drawing from the revolutionary ideas of The Nap Ministry—which sees rest as a form of resistance—and the science-backed insights from Burnout, we’ll explore how embracing rest can empower you to show up more fully for yourself and those around you.
Together, we’ll intentionally slow down, reflect on what true rest means, and discover how prioritizing it can build both personal and collective resilience. You’ll walk away with insights on why rest matters, how to make space for it, and how it can transform the way you lead in your home, workplace, and community.
What's included:
- Insights on how rest impacts leadership and well-being
- Facilitated discussion and opportunities to connect with other community leaders
- Conversation cards
- Snacks, sweets, and drinks
What to expect: This participatory event will help you think about how you embrace rest as an essential practice for balance and resilience. Doors open at 6:30 for snacks and mingling; program starts at 7:00.
Please note that, while your registration fee is non-refundable, it can be transferred to a future session or gifted to someone else.
About us
We host these Good Talks because we believe that more conversations—about the things that connect us as well as divide us—can truly change the world. Through these conversations, we tap into the collective wisdom of those in the room, allowing us to not only share our stories but to listen deeply to others. It's in these moments of connection that we find empathy, understanding, and the courage to tackle the challenges we face, both individually and as a community. This process helps us lead more authentically in our homes, workplaces, and communities, fostering growth and collaboration in all areas of life.
We believe conversation is the key to building communities where everyone can thrive, feel a sense of belonging and be resilient during challenging times.
