Good Shout is held at Here We Aren't, Godric Square every first Thursday of the month; doors at 6.40pm, start at 7pm. £5 OTD. So how does this affect you?

Spoken Word and Poetry open mic, first come, first served. 2 poems per poet, priority is given to new performers and those who travel!

This month we are joined by...well...me, Alex Tyler!
Alex is a a Peterborough-based poet who is far too obsessed with the 80's and all things geeky and obscure. When not writing nerdy poems, he does his best to run poetry nights in Peterborough, notably Good Shout and has previously been Poet Laureate of the city. He writes to entertain, with poetic nonsense about Blade Runner and Ninja Turtles, but through this lens he tries to tackle other larger subjects, including mental health and the awkwardness of relationships.
He is a former slam champion at the Say Owt Slam in York, and has previously won the Hammer & Tongue Slam in Cambridge, as well as the Some-Antics Slam in Leicester. Alex has also been a performer at Bearded Theory Festival, Folk East Festival, Camper Calling Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe.
