Good Karma Party!

Karma yoga – the yoga of action – is more about the act itself than the result. As we say so often in yoga, it's the journey, not the destination. When you detach yourself from the fruits of an action, you give selflessly and completely. With this year's holiday community event, we're making giving the star by packing bags up with essential needs and hand-written affirmations to drop at local women's shelter,

While packing wrting positive letters into bags, we'll enjoy tasty treats, beverages, and all the good vibes of our own! We'll finish with a "crowdsourced karma meditation," wherein we'll pass a ball around and share a mini mantra, chant, meditation, or affirmation that you love – kind of like Hot Potato, but we get learned, not burned.

Then, if you'd like to participate in a book exchange, too, bring a book you already own and don't mind parting with, wrap it, write a brief description on the outside, and swap!
