About this Event
Join us for the opening reception of Good Company, featuring the Good Company Supper Club with artists Ayo Scott and Jordan Lumpkins, Michelle Bonton (Executive Director, ACA), and Allison Retina Stewart-Creeks (Curator, Roots and Routes).
If you love art, good food, good music, and good company; this series was created for you.
Good Company is an intimate cultural gathering series hosted by The Anderson Center for the Arts. Each edition brings together a featured artist, a thoughtfully curated culinary experience, and live cultural elements in a setting designed for connection, conversation, and community.
More than a dinner.
More than an exhibition.
Good Company is about who we gather with and why.
Each event in the series centers a contemporary artist whose work explores memory, place, and legacy, while a celebrated chef curates a dining experience inspired by the spirit of the exhibition. Live music and cultural storytelling round out the evening, creating an immersive atmosphere where art is not just viewed, it is experienced.
The Inaugural Edition
Featuring Roots and Routes artists Ayo Scott and Jordan Lumpkins.
The first gathering in the Good Company series features Roots and Routes, a visual exploration of Black Southern legacy through memory, migration, and generational storytelling.
Featured artist Ayo Scott’s work reflects the layered histories of the American South — where quilting, jazz, spiritual rhythm, architecture, and lived experience intertwine. The evening extends the exhibition into a shared table experience, inviting guests to engage with the themes of the work in real time.
The night includes:
• A private viewing of the exhibition and Artist talk led by the artist
• Live jazz elements woven into the evening
• An intimate, chef-curated dinner
• Thoughtful conversation among collectors, creatives, and community leaders
With limited seating , Good Company is intentionally designed to feel personal and refined. Because the right art, the right table, and the right people can transform an evening into something lasting.
