About this Event
Join APA Atlanta on Saturday, October 17th at Snackbox Studios for a hands-on lighting workshop exploring how the same core lighting principles can grow with you at every stage of your career.
We’ll break down lighting from Good to Better to Best, showing how your approach can evolve from resourcefulness, to craft, to direction and how stronger images don't always mean more gear.
You’ll see how to:
- GOOD — Resourcefulness: Do a lot with less by understanding available light and making the most of simple tools.
- BETTER — Craft: Build greater control and intention into your lighting decisions as you introduce more tools and techniques.
- BEST — Direction: See how those same principles scale into larger productions through lighting design, pre-production, collaboration, and team direction.
You don't always have access to every light, modifier, or piece of equipment and we understand that. This workshop is about understanding what the image needs, making intentional lighting decisions, and learning how to translate those decisions to the tools you have or want.
Come ready to watch, learn, ask questions, and get hands-on. Bring your camera!
