Multi-platinum rock legends The Goo Goo Dolls have announced a second concert at Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town, after the first night sold out in record time. Due to overwhelming demand the second night has been added for 26 March 2025. Tickets on sale from 9am Thursday 19 December at www.webtickets.co.za.
Supported by special guests Just Jinjer, fans can enjoy The Goo Goo Dolls on 25 March (sold out) as well as the new, additional date of 26 March 2025.
Renowned for its unparalleled natural splendour, Kirstenbosch Gardens provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night under the stars. As the iconic melodies of the The Goo Goo Dolls fill the air, concert-goers will enjoy all the hit songs they know and love surrounded by the lush greenery of this world-renowned botanical garden.
Hits such as "Iris," "Slide," and "Name" promise an evening filled with nostalgia. Joining the Goo Goo Dolls on stage as special guests are South Africa's very own Just Jinjer, adding a touch of homegrown talent to this unforgettable night of music. Just Jinjer’s hits include “What He Means” and “She Knows”
“The first concert sold out in just one day!” says Andy Mac from AMP Events. “I’m delighted we’re able to give fans an additional chance to see the Goo Goo Dolls. We heard all your messages and understand how many of you couldn’t secure tickets due to the overwhelming demand. We also know some of you were faced with a tough choice due to the date clashing with other events. While the band’s schedule didn’t allow for additional shows in December, the move to March has opened up the possibility to add this additional event on 26 March.”
Adding to the allure of the event is the picnic-friendly atmosphere of Kirstenbosch Gardens. Concert-goers are invited to spread out their blankets and indulge in a leisurely pre-show feast on the sprawling lawns, soaking in the ambiance and camaraderie of fellow music enthusiasts.
