The perfect places for Gong Enthusiasts to learn the fundamentals of Gongs, Mallets, and Stands in making a wise investment in finding the right gong for you.
I have a variety of gongs in which you will play, including the newest selection of Bronze Gongs from Western Nepal.
These Gongs are very unique and made from the same family, with all similar alloys and markings on the back side of these Gongs. Collectors, please keep in mind.
Join Ed Cleveland for a full-day immersive gong training session designed to deepen your understanding of this extraordinary instrument. This program is ideal for anyone drawn to sound healing. It is also a wonderful opportunity for music teachers and therapists who wish to expand their knowledge and integrate the gong into their work.
Instruments are provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d like.
What You’ll Experience
Throughout the day, you’ll explore the harmonic value of microtonality and overtones, discovering how bronze gongs create tones and vibrations that move beyond predictable patterns. These sounds engage both the body and the mind, inviting a deeper awareness that transcends ordinary listening.
You’ll also learn how to work with the principles of Acousmatic Theory, moving beyond traditional tuning systems such as Just Intonation and Equal Temperament. Through mindful listening practices and guided sound exercises, you’ll train your ear to perceive subtle shifts in vibration and tone.
