We warmly invite you to a meditative gong bath hosted by Aleksa of Sati Healing, hosted at St Joseph's Community Centre in Barnoldswick.
A gong bath (sound bath) is an ancient meditative experience where the vibration of sounds connects with your body, stimulating brain wave frequencies that help nourish and rebalance the mind-body system.
This meditative session immerses you in the soothing sounds and vibrations of various instruments, including Tibetan bowls, koshi chimes and our galactic tam-tam gong.
We begin our session with a self-reflection worksheet to help us step inside our body.
We then come together in breathwork to experience the grounding of guided meditation, readying ourselves to receive the healing vibrations.
No two sound journeys are the same, nor are two individual experiences, but you will leave the session in a more rested and peaceful state of mind.
During a gong bath, you "bathe" in the sounds and vibrations of different instruments, shifting into the Alpha wave state where you will be physically and mentally relaxed.
As the session progresses, you move into the Theta brain wave state, a deeply meditative state with reduced consciousness, and finally into the slowest and strongest Delta brain wave state—a deep, dreamless state of sleep that induces inner harmony and balance.
The harmonising frequencies guide your mind through these meditative and peaceful states, fostering deep relaxation and balance on a mental, emotional, and physical level.
Simply lie down or sit in a comfortable position, snuggle up in your blanket, and allow the sounds of the traditional healing instruments to wash over you, creating a sense of inner calm and tranquility.
This is a time to practice self-care and compassion, traveling inward to release what no longer serves you.

Mats, cushions and blindfolds are provided - please bring your own blanket if you wish.
