Take a golf cart ride through the history of Nashville during the Civil War and learn the story behind Fort Negley, the park's namesake. Learn why the fort was built, who constructed it, the role it played in the defense of Nashville, and how its legacy has evolved since the war's end.
Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather.

Fort Negley Park is under construction as we implement our Master Plan Phase 1.
The 1/2 mile park trail remains open. Construction vehicles may be present occasionally.
Access to the historic fort structure at the top of the hill is closed and is anticipated to reopen late summer.
Fort Negley Visitors Center remains open normal hours. Any brief interruptions to center access will be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Parking is very limited. Please carpool if possible.
